Julian Pruett
1924 - 1997
Julian was born in Humboldt 12 Aug 1924, attended school there
and graduated in 1942. On his 18th birthday, he volunteered for service in the
Air Force. He was in the 454th Bombardment Group, 737th Squadron, 15th Air
Force stationed in Italy in 1944; classification was aerial engineer-gunner
and flew 43 missions with his crew in the B-24 bombers earning the Air Medal
and 4 Oak Leaf Clusters with the European Campaign Ribbon and 4 battle stars.
