Mr. & Mrs. E. E. Benton of Trenton, TN. Mr. Benton established the
Trenton Herald Newspaper. The Benton's lived in what they now call the R. Z. Taylor house
(2nd house south of 10th St. on College St. in Trenton). E. E. Benton established the
Trenton Herald in 1855 later consolidating it with the Trenton Democrat.
Mr. and Mrs. Benton are buried in the Oakland
Cemetery, Trenton.
