Gibson Co., Tennessee Cemeteries, Senter Cemetery

Senter Cemetery

This cemetery is located west of St. Route 186 South. It is located in a field behind the home of Billy Jack Buchanan at 202 St. Route 186. This cemetery was recorded on Feb. 25, 2000. This land must have been owned by the Senter Family at some time, but I can’t be for sure.  William Senter was an early Baptist preacher. His son Rev. Moses E. Senter is also buried here. His stone was moved to Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt in 1986 as part of Tennessee Homecoming 86. The cemetery is not grown up, but it has been vandalized over the years. Several of the stones are broken. It is located under a couple of large oak trees.
