Mrs. Cherry of Trimble Dies

Mrs. Amanda Jane Cherry of Trimble, widow of William Thomas Cherry, who had
lived in the Trimble and Mason Hall community areas for a number of years, died
at her home at 9:50 o'clock last night, Wednesday, June 10, 1964. She was 78 and her husband
preceded her in death in 1957.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cherry will be held at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow
afternoon, Friday, at the Trimble Church of Christ. Clifford Rumley of
Dyersburg and Norman Hogan of Abilene, Texas, will officiate. Burial will be
in Yorkville Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Johnson Funeral
Home of Newbern will have charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alton Walker, Gary, Indiana, and Mrs.
Donnie Sturdivant, Kenton; four sons, Howard Cherry, Bells, Clifford Cherry,
Gary, Wayne Cherry and Gerald Cherry, both of Trimble; a sister, Mrs. May
Walker, Jefferson City, Missouri; a brother, Ural David Morgan, Munford; 16
grandchildren, and 23 greatgrandchildren.
