Dies at Age 77
 
TRENTON, Tenn, Nov. 23, 1963
Mrs. Katie Kinkade Lomax widow of John Lomax, died Friday in Milan Hospital after a short illness. She was 77.
Services were held Saturday at Oakgrove Baptist Church near Milan. Burial was in Harpers Cemetery near Trenton.
Mrs. Lomax, born in Perry County, had lived in Gibson County about 50 years. Mr. Lomax, a farmer, died in 1951.
She was a Baptist.
She leaves two sons: Jerry Lomax of Chicago and Howard Lomax of Memphis. Seven daughters, Mrs. Liddie Coleman of Fruitland, Mrs. Ila Lamar of Trenton, Miss Bessie Lomax, Mrs. Hattie Bates, Mrs. Lavinia Smith, Mrs. Mamie Berry and Mrs. Alma Henson, all of Milan; two brothers, Curtis Kinkade of Texas and Rupert Kinkade of Arkansas; four sisters, Mrs. Nannie Browning and Mrs. Minnie Westbrooks of Arkansas, Mrs. Ethel Tomlin of Bells and Mrs. Ellen Mathis of Alamo. 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
