E. Kilzer           )       P. H. Mitchell have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Elijah Kilzer
                                and his heirs forever for the consideration of Eleven hundred dollars to me to be paid a Grant of
land in the State of Tennessee and County of Gibson Range 3rd and Section 1st of the 13th Surveyor District Beginning at an Elm on Jns W. Jones North west corner runs thence East 130 poles to a Stake black Oak and hickory pointer--thence  South 77 poles to a Stake--thence West 130 poles to a Stake on Mrs Richardson's East boundary line--thence North 77 poles to the
beginning. Containing Sixty Five and a half acres of land more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said E. Kilzer
his heirs and assigns forever I covenant with said Kilzer that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey
it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and
defend forever the title of said land and every part thereof to the said Kilzer his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims
of all persons whatsoever--A lien is hereby retained on said land  until all the purchase money is paid. Given under my hand and Seal  this the 16th of November 1858.
