....I didn't gather a list of all the books on the shelves for the public to use when researching at the archives, i.e., census bks, cemetery bks, county history bks, Mr. Partlow's index bks, etc.

Linda's list is of actual courthouse books from 1802-04 and she said EVERYTHING has been microfilmed.

1818 The Lebanon Gazette

1836 The Lebanon Mirror

1839 The Banner of Peace and Cumberland Presbyterian Chronicle

1847 The Patriot

1850 The Lebanon Packet

1853-88 and 1890 The Lebanon Herald, which in 1889 became the 2nd Lebanon Democrat

1865 The Lebanon Register

1866 The Herald and Register

1868-89 The Lebanon Record

1870-72 The Lebanon Free Press, sometime before 1889, the first Lebanon Democrat, unrelated to this one, began and suspended

1879-83 Wilson County News

1883 a new Lebanon Register

1888 The Daily Herald

1888 E.E. Adams took over The Lebanon Herald, with his first edition on Feb. 14

1889 Adams' Herald became the second Lebanon Democrat. The Herald had merged with the old Register and its name changed to The Democrat. The second Register was the name to which the first Wilson County News was changed, then sold.

1889 The Lebanon Tribune

1891 Wilson County Record, Mt. Juliet

1893 Watertown Index

1894 Lebanon Weekly News

1898 Watertown News suspended

1891 Register sells, name changed to Tribune, which survived until 1897

1900-41 The Lebanon Banner, which became a new Wilson County News
