There might be a connection. I've traced my Mullins back to Patrick Mullins
who emigrated from Ireland in the Late 1600s or early 1700s.

D. C. MULLINS is listed on 1812 Warren Co., TN Tax List. There is some
discussion as to whether this is father or son. It is my opinion that he
is the son, Daniel (later known as Daniel Coleman MULLINS or D. C. Coleman)
who was born 1772 Goochland Co., VA, to Daniel MULLINS (RS) b. 1752 Goochland
Co., VA who was the son of John and Elizabeth (Conerly) MULLINS of Goochland
Co., VA. Daniel Coleman MULLINS (the son) may have had siblings-Ezekiel and
Sarah. Ezekiel m. Rebecca James; Sarah allegedly m. William Thomason. Sarah
Thomason is bur. in Whitehall Cem., DeKalb Co., AL with dates 1784-1864 on
her tombstone. Daniel Coleman MULLINS married Didena Lyle in NC (document
not dated nor county shown) with the following issue: Jubilee, Joseph, Daniel,
Jr., John W*., Louisa*, William H*. and poss one other. Daniel Coleman MULLINS
died 1857 at Short Mt., Warren Co., VA
* These may be Joseph's children as he died before his father (see Item 3

Here are my Mullins. My direct line goes through Kentucky, but I do have
collateral lines that migrated into Tennessee. I hope this is not too long,
I tried to keep to only three generations, but these folks were very prolific!

My Mullins is Elizabeth Mullins born in Virginia about 1800. Married in Wilson
Co, TN to Wilson Price before 1822, then they moved to Jefferson Co, TN and
then to Lawrence Co, IL.
She may be connected to David D. and Athalia Boyd Mullins who are buried
in Wilson Co TN, but I have not been able to come up with her parents.
She may have had a brother William Mullins who moved from Tennessee to Lawrence
Co IL in 1830.

As far as we can go back is James H. Mullins, b. ca 1810-17, married Tilda JOHNS. Only known child was John Bell Mullins, b. 27 Oct. 1837 Murfreesboro, TN. area. Died 20 June 1918, buried Evergreen Cemetery, Murfreesboro, TN., with his wife.
John Bell Mullins married Sara Jane Coleman, b. 1 Jan. 1841 d. 29 June
1923. She was the daughter of ______and Rebecca __"maiden name ?____ Coleman.
She was b. 1796 in VA. and died 18 July 1884, Rutherford Co., TN.
I assume the early Mullins' may have also been from Virginia.
Trying to find the names of the James H. Mullins' parents, siblings, and
possible other children.
Also, Tilda Johns Mullins parents, etc.
I'd be most grateful for any possible help.

I think my Mullins might have been earlier like about 1820. I have info to indicate they were running from the law about 1825 and since they lived to be a very ripe old age, I know that they were somewhat successful in their leaving. I will take a look at your web site and see if I tie in somewhere else. My Mullins were Willis H. and James W. Both born in NC at the turn of the century. Willis married Agness A. Duke whose father was Micajah Duke, a long time resident and farmer in Smith Co. He died there about 1865.

PS. Green was Micajah Duke's mothers maiden name. I have noticed that several of my families' male names especially seem to follow maiden names. Duke has shown up several times.
