The first of the name LOGUE to appear in early TN records is that of JOHN LOGUE, whom I designate as JOHN LOGUE I. He first appears in the following deed:

Surveyed for JOHN LOGUE Mar. 20, 1788 by WILLIAM NASH, D.S. in consequence of a Military Warrant No. 1737. Located Jan. 23, 1786. Mar. 18, 1789. [Marsh, LAND DEED GENEALOGY of DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE, 1783-1792, Volume 1, p. 183, hereinafter referred to as Marsh Deeds]
