CEMETERIES

Thanks to the efforts of Suzanne, we are able to bring you Sue Reed's "Compendum of Henry County Cemeteries". Reprinted with permission.

Gray Cemetery (#2)

Located under what is now Kentucky Lake, North of Tenn. National Wildlife Refuge. (Copied from: (1) Mr. Charles Sanders' records, which indicate that there are no marked graves and that the information came from TVA records; (2) The Kentucky Lake Cemetery Relocation Project comp. by Judith Ann Maupin (1975) which states: "This cemetery had been abandoned from several years and none of the graves could be identified. It was located above the 330 elevation, but the access was flooded. Remain permits were executed on the graves of four persons known to be buried here., although the exact location of the graves was not known. All the graves remained.)
