Carl PERRY, a popular young man of Chestnut Bluff and Miss Bessie JONES, charming daughter of Dave JONES of the Lebanon vicinity, were united in marriage Sunday. Rev. C. E. NORMAN officiating.

J. E. PRIVETT attended court in Alamo Monday.

M. V. CORLEY of Alamo was on the streets Sunday.

Wilbur HARWELL, student of a Memphis medical college, is here with his father, L. B. HARWELL.

George COFFMAN, student of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, is at home on his vacation and is behind the counter at the Drug Store. George is studying medicine and will soon acquire the title of Doctor.

Dan GOOCH, the Oliver Typewriter man of Selmer, was in the city last week.

Prof. M. E. WHITSON and wife are in Martin.

Dr. HALL of Mississippi was in the city this week.

Miss Patti BUTCHER and Mr. Ned YORK spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Tom WALKER near Bonicord.

James FERGUSON of Maury City was a visitor here Sunday.

Mrs. Ada VICKERS of Dyersburg attended the concert here last Thursday night.

Master Paul SUDBURY received a painful kick by a horse Sunday while he was hitching him to a buggy.

J. W. SIMMONS of Halls was the guest of his father, W. S. SIMMONS, Sunday.

Wm PERRY of Maury City was here Sunday.

Miss Mallie WARREN who has been attending MCF Institute at Jackson is at home.

George T. SMITH was out of town four days last week and when he returned he brought a car of up-to-date vehicles to fit everybody, some wide ones, some narrow ones and some with rubber tires.

Dr. Percy MILLER of Bonicord spent Tuesday night in the city. Dr. MILLER has just returned from Memphis where he graduated in medicine and is now looking for a location and has this place under consideration. We would be glad to have him locate in our little city.

Rev. C. E. NORMAN, Messrs Eddie HARWELL, Bob PARKER and Jim SUDBURY went to Henning Monday to attend the district conference of the Methodist church.

A. E. BANKS, the contractor, went to Memphis Monday to hunt a location.

Mr. and Mrs. L. E. SANDERS visited relatives at Tigrett Sunday.

Johnny EDWARDS and Jim FEWELL of Crockett Mills were in town Monday.
