DEATH ... Services were held last Thursday at the Ronk Funeral Home for ANDREW FEEMASTER, who died Wednesday, burial in Cypress Cemetery. He was 78 and had lived in Crockett County all his life. He leaves one son, ISAAC FEEMASTER; four stepsons, JOHN TYLER, JOE TYLER, MAX TYLER, and HOLLIS TYLER; one step-daughter, Mrs. EMMA LOU JOHNSON; and three neices.

DEATH ... Services were held Saturday at the Church of Christ at Cross Roads for MRS. JOHN GRIFFIN, who died Thursday, burial in Bellview Cemetery. She was 73. She leaves three children and six step-children: BARNEY and LILLIE of Bells, DALLAS, ERVIN and ROBERT of Memphis, Mrs. LEE O>DAVIS, and Mrs. A. F. MASSEY of Alamo, Mrs. SAM DANIEL and Mrs. JIM SKIPPER of Bells; two sisters, Mrs. FRANK RANDOLPH of Alamo and Mrs. LAURA FORTUNE of Calif.; and several grandchildren.

BELLS ITEMS ... Mrs. H. L. JOYNER has returned from Brownsville where she spent several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. GENE CLAIBORN, who has been critically ill following the birth of a son on July 16th at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. CLAIBORN is showing some improvement and will be brought here with her parents until she is able to take care of her family.

BELLS ITEMS ... Mrs. H. A. THOMAS attended the funeral of her aunt, MRS. KATE MAULDEN BRADEN at Kenton, Tenn., Sunday. MRS. BRADEN passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. LEONARD STOVALL after a long illness. She was a sister of the late Mrs. J. C. W. NUNN and was the last surviving child of Rev. and Mrs. C. J. MAULDIN who will be remembered by the Crockett County citizens. MRS. BRADEN was 78 years old and is survived also by a son, JOHN BRADEN of St. Louis, Mo.

DEATH ... Services were held July 29th at Humboldt for MRS. JENNIE ANN MEDLIN, who died at her home in Humboldt Thursday, burial in Old Gibson Cemetery. She was 69. She leaves her husband, EDD MEDLIN; three sons, WILLIAM VANCE MEDLIN and LEROY MEDLIN of Humboldt, and FLOYD MEDLIN of Alamo; two daughters, Mrs. WAFIE(?) FAULKNER of Humboldt and Mrs. ELSIE ROBERSON of Alamo; and 10 grandchildren.

YOUTH DROWNS IN CONLEY POND ... Services for TRAVIS LEE GEORGE, of the Cross Roads Community, who drowned while swimming in Conley Pond near Alamo Sunday were held Monday at the Methodist Church in Bells, burial in Bellview Cemetery. He was 21 years of age. He is survived by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. HARMON GEORGE; one brother, LAYFORD GEORGE; four sisters, Mrs. LOUISE KIDDIE, AUTIE MAY GEORGE and DELORIS GEORGE of Bells and Mrs. NELLIE SUE HAYNES of Humboldt.

RAINEY-CONLEY ... Bolivar, Tenn. July 29. Mr. & Mrs. WILLIAM BRAY RAINEY of Bolivar announce the engagement of their daughter, NANCY ESTELLE RAINEY to ROBERT WILLIAM CONLEY, son of Mr. & Mrs. PAUL B. CONLEY of Alamo. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. HARDY J. RAINEY of Toone. The wedding will be held August 16th at the bride's parents.

Services for RALPH WILLIAMS, prominent farmer of the Fruitvale Community, who died of a heart attack suffered in his car near Alamo Thursday were held at Salem Presbyterian Church, burial in church cemetery. He leaves his wife; four daughters, MISS MARY ANN WILLIAMS of Gadsden, MRS. LOIS GARDINO of Memphis, MRS. J. E. CASTELLAW of Gadsden and MRS. HAROLD NORVILLE of Bells; a brother, TOMMY WILLIAMS of Bells; two sisters, MISS NORA WILLIAMS and MRS. LESLIE FLEET of Memphis.

He died at his home near Halls, he was 70 and a blacksmith of the Chestnut Bluff Community. He leaves two sisters, MRS. GERTRUDE RIDDICK of Paris, Tenn., and MRS. IDA DOBBINS of Memphis.

On Sunday, July 30th, the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends gathered at the country home of Mr. & Mrs. GRAHAM ADAMS of Halls, Tenn., to celebrate the birthdays of Mr. & Mrs. MAULTON MONTOGOMERY. He was 78; she was 72. Mr. & Mrs. MONTGOMERY have six children living, fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. ( There are many attending named, but not their relationship. )

DEATH ... Services for DAVE C. CLARK were held Tuesday at Zion Hill Baptist Church, burial in church cemetery. He died at his home in the Hawkinsville Community after an illness of several years. He was 82, a farmer, landowner and had spent his entire life here. He leaves his wife, Mrs. MISSOURI JONES CLARK; a daughter, Mrs. DAVID JONES of Friendship; a son, ALVIS CLARK of Dyersburg.

DEATH ... Services for Mrs. A. O. HOCKADAY of Jackson, who died Sunday night at her home after an illness of 18 months, were held Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Jackson, burial in Oakland Cemetery at Trenton. She was 89, and had been a resident of Jackson for seven years. She leaves two sons, J. E. HOCKADAY of Trenton and W. A. HOCKADAY of Friendship; three daughters, Mrs. T. H. BARNES of Jackson, Mrs. SADIE OLIVER of Alamo and Mrs. JAMES COFFMAN of Belgrade, Fla.; two brothers, A. L. SMITH of Nashville and R. C. SMITH of Jackson; a sister, Mrs. GEORGE MAHAN of Memphis.

DEATH ... MRS. FRANCES COLEMAN BAUMBERGER, 69, wife of ALBERT BAUMBERGER, manager of the Lakeland Terrace Hotel died this morning at their hotel apartment in Lakeland, Fla. She was a cousin of Mrs. J. C. KLYCE and has visited Alamo often.

Services were held Wednesday at the Gadsden Baptist Church, burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Humboldt. He leaves his wife; three daughters, CHRISTINE SPRAGGINS of Gadsden, Mrs. J. C. (GENROSE)PIERCY of Bells and Mrs. SAM(MARTHA ANN) SULLIVAN of McKenzie; one sister, MISS MAIE SPRAGGINS of Gadsden; one half-brother, MOORE WILLIAMS of Memphis; and one granddaughter, SANDRA ANN SULLIVAN of McKenzie.

DEATH ... Services were held Tuesday at Hunt Funeral Home for FRED G. SPRAGGINS, retired marble cutter. He died at Oursler Clinic on Sunday after an extended illness, burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, he was 71. Born and reared near Gadsden, son of the late JAMES and LOU SPRAGGINS, he spent most of his life in Humboldt. He leaves his wife, MRS. MINNIE SPRAGGINS; a sister, MRS. J. W. LOCKE; and a brother, O. C. SPRAGGINS, all of Humboldt.

DEATH ... DAVE BOWEN ... 80, died August 16th at his home near Friendship after a long illness. He was a son of the late MARK BOWEN & FANNIE RICE BOWEN, and was born and reared in the community where he died. His wife, the former PEARL ROBERTS, died in 1927. Two sons were born to Mr. & Mrs. BOWEN, CHARLES ROBERT BOWEN and DAVID RICE BOWEN; a brother, WILL BOWEN, and a sister, Miss N. DORAH BOWEN preceded him in death. One brother, M. A. BOWEN survives. Services were held at Bowens'Chapel, burial in Bowen Chapel's Cemetery.

DEATH ... Services were held Wednesday, August 15th at Johnson Grove Baptist Church for Mrs. LOUELLA BROOKS, buriel in Robertson Cemetery. She was 55. She leaves her husband, W. H. BROOKS; one daughter, Mrs. BILLY JENKINS; one son, WILLIE BOB BROOKS; and one granddaughter, FRANCES ELAINE JENKINS.

Air Force, Hamilton Field, Calif., LINCOLN HAYNES of Bells and CLARENCE HYNES of Gadsden; two daughters, Mrs. MARTHA HARBIN of Camden and Mrs. SALLIE SHEA of Gadsden; his mother, Mrs. LELA HAYNES of Gadsden; three brothers, GEORGE HAYNES of Stockton, Calif., RASTUS HAYNES and FORREST HAYNES of Gadsden. He leaves his wife, Mrs. ROTHA HUNT; four daughters, GOLDIE IRENE HUNT, LILLIAN ROTHA HUNT, SARAH LEONA HUNT, and Thelma IRENE(?)HUNT; one son, JAMES D. HUNT; and one brother, VERNER HUNT of Missouri.
