DEATH... E. E. WHITE, for over 50 years a newspaperman and composing room foreman of Brownsville State Graphic for the past 20 years, died at his home in Brownsville Saturday night of a heart attack, he was 65. In 1908 he married Miss BERTHA CRAIG of Crockett County, who survives. He also leaves one daughter, Mrs. C. R. WHITEHEAD of Brownsville, and one son, CRAIG WHITE of Paducah, Ky. Services were held Monday at Brownsville Methodist Church, burial in Brownsville.

DEATH... Services for JOHN H. (Squire)HARBER, who died Monday at 4 a. m. at his home in Trenton were held Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Trenton, burial in Oakland Cem. Born and reared in Crockett County, he was the son of the late Jim and Martha HARRIS HARBER. He taught school in Crockett County before moving to Gibson County about 1905. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. WALTER BOWIE, Mrs. LONNIE TAYLOE and Mrs. TROY McFARLAND, all of Trenton.

DEATH... Mrs. DAN WILLIAMS died at her home near Friendship Thursday, she was 68. Funeral services were held at the Friendship Baptist Church. She leaves her husband; one daughter, HAZELE WILLIAMS of Friendship; two sisters, Mrs. LELA MOODY of Knoxville and Mrs. BIDA MARSHALL of Memphis; one brother, W. M. MAYS of Sateuma, Fla.

BELLS ITEMS... Mrs. EMMA HAWKS and Miss Jennie WILLIAMS have returned home after spending the winter with the former's daughter and son-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. H. B. MIDYETT at Sherman, Texas. Mr. MIDYETT accompanied them home and spent a few days with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. JIM MIDYETT of Alamo.

DEATH... Services were held Sunday April 2nd at the Cypress Methodist Church for DANIEL HIX LAMAN, who died at his home in Alamo Friday, burial in Cypress Cemetery. He was 68. He leaves his wife; five sons, CECIL LAMAN of Trenton, FINIS LAMAN of Humboldt, HOOPER LAMAN of Maury City, PIERCE LAMAN of Humboldt, and HERSHAL LAMAN of Memphis; three daughters, Mrs. CORDIE MAE USELTON of Alamo, Mrs. GERALDINE GIFFORD of Memphis and Miss JEWELL SUE LAMAN of Alamo.

DEATH... Services for Mrs. ANNA TATUM MOSELEY were held Saturday at J. W. Norris Funeral Home, Memphis, burial at Greenfield, Tenn. She was the widow of HILLARY MOSELEY who died 18 years ago. She was born in Alamo and moved to Memphis about 1932. She made her home with her sister, Mrs. JOHN DEAN SHANNON. She also leaves another sister, Mrs. J. T. HOWELL of Jackson.

DEATH... Services for F. M. LEGGETT were held Friday at Curve Baptist Church, burial in the LEGGETT family cemetery. He died at his home near Curve Thursday after a four months illness. He was 88. He leaves his wife, Mrs. LULA COLWELL LEGGETT; two sons, HERMAN LEGGETT and H. C. LEGGETT of Gates; five daughters, Mrs. J. E. SPILLER and Mrs. GUY DUVALL, both of Ripley, Mrs. INA FENNELL of Crockett Mills, Mrs. HENRY DEW and Mrs. ROYAL LEE, both of Curve.

DEATH... Services were held on Thursday at the Baptist Church, Humboldt, for Mrs. MARY EDNA MARTIN, who died in St. Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, April 4th, burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. She was born in Madison County in 1900. She leaves her husband, EDWARD MARTIN; three sisters, Mrs. VIRGIE WILLIAMS and Mrs. NANNIE JINES of Humboldt and Mrs. GEORGIA BUTLER of Alamo; three brothers, CURTIS ROBINSON and MILLARD ROBINSON of Humboldt, and HOLLIS ROBINSON of Bemis.

DEATH... Services were held Friday at the Oak Grove Methodist Church for ROBERT STEWART HALL, who died at his home near Humboldt Wednesday, burial in the church cemetery. He was 57, a farmer. He leaves his wife; three sons, J. C. HALL of Denver, Tenn., G. D. HALL and ROBERT HALL of Humboldt; five sisters, Mrs. PAULINE SHERROD of Denver, Tenn., Mrs. DOROTHY BROWN, Mrs. CHRISTINE HAMMONDS, Mrs. FRANCES McCAIG and Mrs. ALICE GILLIAM, all of Humboldt.

Services were held today, Thursday, at the Lebanon Methodist Church near Friendship for Mr. JIM BURROW who died at his home near Friendship Tuesday night of a heart attack, burial in church cemetery. He was born in Crockett County, he was 74. He leaves his wife, Mrs. LINNA BURROW; a daughter, Mrs. JACK VIA; one son, WELDON BURROW of Memphis.

DEATH... Services for WADE H. JONES, retired dairyman and farmer who died of a hear ailmant at his home in Dyersburg Thursday were held Friday at First Baptist Church, burial in Fairview Cemetery. Born in Crockett County, he moved to Dyersburg as a young man. He leaves his wife, ADA C. JONES; a son, ROYCE JONES; a daughter, Mrs. J. O. BRATTON of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. R. C. CARTER of Union City.

DEATH... DAVID I. OZMENT, 62, died at his home in the 14th District on Monday at 2: 45 a. m. He was born and reared in Crockett County. He is survived by his wife, MRS. WINNIE OZMENT; the following children: DAVID WESLEY OZMENT, PERCY LEE OZMENT, BUFORD LESTER OZMENT, JAMES MILTON OZMENT; HOLLIS DONALD OZMENT, JOE NEVILLE OZMENT and PAUL PASTOR OZMENT, all of near Alamo; one brother, JOHN HENRY OZMENT of Halls; Two sisters, MRS. MATTIE ANN ADCOCK and MRS. VERA JANE HEATH of near Friendship. Services were Tuesday at South Fork Baptist Church, burial in South Fork Cemetery.

BELLS ITEMS... Mr. & Mrs. W. T. ROWDEN and MIKE of Vicksburg, Miss., were here last weekend, having been called by the death of Mr. ROWDEN's father of Obion. Mr. ROWDEN, SR., passed away Thursday in a Memphis hospital. Miss EFFIE KENNER and her father attended the funeral in Obion Friday.

BIRTHDAY... It was two days earlier than the actual date and a real surprise party yesterday for Mrs. MARY ALICE MARLOWE WILLIAMS. She celebrates her 85th birthday tomorrow. Her eight children were there: Mrs. LOUISE KNIGHT, Mrs. BUENA FULLER and JOHNNIE WILLIAMS of Memphis, Mrs. ZERA MILLER and PLOMER WILLIAMS of Gadsden, Mrs. IRENE WILLIAMS of Bells, and HARVEY WILLIAMS of Dallas. She also has 31 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her husband, N. V. WILLIAMS died in 1938 after 56 years of married life.

DEATH... LEON D. CULLIPHER died at the Prather Clinic Monday, April 14th. He was 76. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the First Christian Church, burial in Cypress Cemetery. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. WALTER BODKINS of Alamo, with whom he made his home; one son, WALTER CULLIPHER of Alamo; and three grandchildren.

DEATH... HARDY L. WYSE died Sunday at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. KNOX WYSE in Alamo. A native of this county, he operated a store in Maury City when a young man and moved to Halls about 50 years ago. He lived with his son, KNOX WYSE in Pasagoula, Miss., and after the death of the son, moved to Alamo two years ago. Another son, IVAN WYSE, died in Memphis about three years ago. IVAN WYSE had two daughters, Mrs. KEITH DAVIDSON of Memphis and Mrs. HUBERT HAAGA of Philadelphia, Miss., who survive. Services were held at the First Baptist Church, Halls; burial in Halls Cemetery.

EVANS-PEARSON... An announcement by Mrs. BESSIE K. EVANS of Bells of the engagement of her daughter, NANCY ANN to WM. RAY PEARSON, son of Mr. & Mrs. H. C. PEARSON. Wedding will be in the First Christian Church in Bells on Friday, April 28th.
