Berra was once the site of a school and a church, on 
the upper reaches of Hollis Creek.   the school and the 
church were moved one mile downstream to a place named 
Sunny Slope, on the road to Woodbury. The school was 
discontinued with the consolidation of the county school 
program. The church is still there.
