the village or seat of Robert, of Cossibey, who was the progenitor of numerous
lines of Cosbys in England and America. The line of descent follows:
1 Robert of Cossibey.
2 John of Cossibey.
3 Robert Cossibey, of Hermaston, Lincolnshire, England, was living in 1516. He -married Isabel, daughter and -heiress of Ralph Page, Esq., of Great Leake, Nottinghamshire, and his wife Isabel, daughter and heiress of John Blake, of Hermaston. His son and heir.
4 John Cosbie married Mabel, daughter of Argard, of Foscon, Nottinghamshire. They had two sons, namely:
1. Richard Cosbie, of Grear Leake, whose only daughter, Bridget Cosbie, became the wife of William Towers, Gent., �of Thunnock.
