WITT / RATLIFF CEMETERY

This cemetery was founded by T. F. Ratliff in 1860, but is now known as WITT Cemetery.   It is located about 5 miles south of Gainesville.  Take FM 2071 and where the road curves back east, go straight ahead.   This is part of CR 237 which makes a small loop and comes back to FM 2071.   Turn into a road which leads to a private residence and the cemetery is to the right.  It is fenced and visible.   Surveyed in 1978 by Michelle Kneupper and Patti Tucker.   My survey was done 9 July 2003.   There are many sandstone markers piled beneath a tree.
