The tulip garden
Bertha was famous for her tulip collection.
Sold them for a penny each and used the money to purchase additional
plants.
Southwest corner of 15th Street and 19th Avenue, 1986.
The front door faces 19th Avenue.
The kitchen door faced the home of the Martin Mohr family on 15th
St.
The building was originally the Catholic Church.
Eduard Schober had purchased a half block of property, moved the
church building to this corner,
used the cupola as a chicken coop.
He later built the Dischner house, behind this one.
May have built the Mohr house - never thought to ask!
(The Schober house was converted into a duplex - last we heard.)
