HOLMES

Emma Viola WILSON married Dennis "Clyde" HOLMES 16 Sep 1933 in Sioux City, IA.

She was his second wife & only a little older than her 3 step-daughters.

They had two children; moved to San Pedro, CA during WW II.

They later moved to San Bernardino, CA. Clyde died in 1966.

Emma married Victor GUTZWILLER, 14 Feb 1970 at the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church,

San Bernardino, CA.  As the ceremony concluded, one of Emma's grandchildren shouted "Can I call him Grandpa now?"

Emma was my step-mother; we were gathering her family history when she passed away. All original records & photos were turned over to her granddaughter, Laurie B. Copies were made for a surviving sibling, Lorraine. Emma was concerned that the two WILSON siblings that died in infancy would not be remembered; the cemetery records were from her parents' collection of papers. - CM
