not related by blood or marriage to the person whom he desires to marry has been married before and the marriage was dissolved by death of his former wife
Elizabeth A. Grannis born in Allegheny Co. PA on the 18th day of Feb A.D. 1857 residing at Braddock Allegheny County PA has been married before and the the marriage was dissolved by the death of her former husband Marriage License issued Jan 13 1891

NOTES: Elizabeth was the daughter of William C. McAdams, Sr. and Margaret Porter. Elizabeth's grandparents were George McAdams and Elizabeth Faith.
Elizabeth's first marriage was to David Grannis [Abt. 1852 - 1887]. In 1880, Elizabeth and David Grannis were living in Wilkins. David, born in Pennsylvania, was 28 at the time. He lists his trade as "carpenter." Elizabeth was 23, Harry was 4 and William was 1.
