Felix DiGiulio was born in Italy around 1884. The 1920 Federal Census Table for Braddock Borough, Allegheny County, PA shows Felix living on Braddock Avenue. He reported his age as 36 and his year of immigration as 1911. He reported his status to be alien as opposed to naturalized. He reported his occupation to be laborer in a steel foundry. Living with Felix were his wife Filomena, age 33, who had immigrated from Italy in 1919. Also in the home were three children, all of whom were born in Italy and had immigrated in 1919:
Nicoletta's granddaughter, Maria Dascenzo, recalls that her grandmother had three brothers, known to the family as Rudolph, Jimmy and Andy.
Nicoletta DiGuilio married Giuseppe D'Ascenzo, known to the family as Joseph, in 1920. Their Marriage License was recorded in the Allegheny County Marriage License Docket.

Nicoletta married her husband's relative, Raphaelle "Ralph" D'Ascenzo.
