Felix DiGiulio was born in Italy around 1884. The 1920 Federal Census Table for Braddock Borough, Allegheny County, PA shows Felix living on Braddock Avenue. He reported his age as 36 and his year of immigration as 1911. He reported his status to be alien as opposed to naturalized. He reported his occupation to be laborer in a steel foundry. Living with Felix were his wife Filomena, age 33, who had immigrated from Italy in 1919. Also in the home were three children, all of whom were born in Italy and had immigrated in 1919: Nicoletta

  2. Ralph, age 10

  3. Louise , age 8

  4. An??oun, a daughter, age 6 - possibly an error in transcription referring to Andrew

Nicoletta's granddaughter, Maria Dascenzo, recalls that her grandmother had three brothers, known to the family as Rudolph, Jimmy and Andy.

GiuseppeNicoletta DiGuilio married Giuseppe D'Ascenzo, known to the family as Joseph, in 1920. Their Marriage License was recorded in the Allegheny County Marriage License Docket.

Nicoletta and Joseph had eleven children:

  1. Nichola "Nicki" who married Raymond G. Sotak. Nicki and Raymond had five children; Raymond M., Theresa, Connie, John and Elizabeth. Nicki died on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at 4:15 p.m. Her obituary read:

    On Tuesday, January 9, 2001 of Swissvale. Wife of Raymond G. Sotak; loving mother of Raymond M. Sotak and his wife Paula of North Versailles; Theresa Thomas and her husband Steve of Penn Twp., Connie Haffner and her husband David of Penn Hills, John Sotak and Jenine Donofrio of Swisvale and Elizabeth Sotak of Swissvale; grandmother of Steven, Zachary, Jaret, Joshua and Gabriella; sister of Felix Dascenzo, Philomena Dascenzo, Louise Burksaze, Marie Dearden, James Dascenzo and the late Josephine and John. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday and Friday at the THOMAS J. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC. 7411 Washington St., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Anselm Church on Sat, 9:30.

    Jimmy died in June, 2001. His obituary read:

Reynolds, Cathy Schmuck, Darlene Poulos & Nancy Good; brother of Felix Dascenzo, Philimena Dascenzo, Marie Dearden & Louise Burksaze; also ten grandchildren. Friends received WOLFE MEMORIAL INC., Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike 412-731-5001 www.wolfememorialinc.com, Wed & Thurs 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial St Maurice Church, on Friday at 10:00 am.

    Joseph D'Ascenzo, Sr. died in 1931, and was buried in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Section 13.

    Nicoletta married her husband's relative, Raphaelle "Ralph" D'Ascenzo.

  11. John, born on July 20, 1932 to Nicoletta and Ralph.

    John died in 1984. His obituary read:

    On Tuesday, September 18, 1984, John F. of Swissvale, beloved husband of Rose Guerriero; father of Rose Marie Gray of Forest Hills; son of Raphaele Dascenzo of Swissvale; brother of Josephine Dascenzo of Williamsport, PA, Felix of Churchill, Philomena of Swissvale, Louise Burksaze of Calif., Marie Dearden of Murrysville, Nicolletta Sotak of Swissvale and James of Forest Hills; also survived by nieces & nephews. Friends are being received Wed. 7-9, Thurs. & Fri. 2-4 & 7-9 at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anselem Church on Saturday at 10 AM.

Nicoletta died on February 21, 1937, and was buried in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Section 13.

Felix DiGuilio died on December 15, 1918 and was buried in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
