    Double Wedding

A double wedding took place at the Halfway Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon June 26 which was witnessed by a large company, the church being filled with guests.
The contracting parties were sisters and brothers belonging to leading families in the vicinity of Holmen and were the Messes Aurelia Melissa and Delila Honora Bratberg Bernt N. and Ludwig T. Lee.
The church was beautifully decorated for the interesting services with potted plants, cut flowers and draperies of lace. Promptly at 2 o'clock the bridal party entered the church to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Marion Berrum and took position in front of the altar. Miss Aurelia Bratberg and Bernt Lee were attended by Misses Selma Lee and Ida Olson as brides-maids, Fritz Miller and Ed Olson as groomsmen. Miss Delila Bratberg and Ludwig Lee were attended by Misses Elva Bratberg, Sarah Hanson and Oscar Lee and Ben Snuggerud.
The brides were handsomely attired in white, wearing bridal veils and carrying boquets of roses. The bridesmaids were also dressed in white. The bridal party presented a fine appearance as they marched down the aisle to their respective places while Rev. Berrum, pastor of the church, performed the cermony pronouncing each couple man and wife.
AFter a song by the congregation the newly wedded couples were conveyed to the large and pleasant home of the brides parents Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Bratberg followed by the invited guests where the wedding reception was held during the afternoon and evening. Over 500 guests partook of the delicious wedding feast which was served at long tables in a bowery constructed for this purpose and for dancing.
The decorations here and at the residence were in good taste and the entire arrangements were complete and in keeping with the interesting and happy occasion.
Games on the large and beautiful lawn afforded entertainment for the younger guests during the afternoon and early evening and about nine o'clock dancing was begun in the bowery, the Holmen orchestra furnishing music.
A midnight supper was served the company on the lawn after which dancing was continued until near morning.
The couples are highly esteemed and have a large circle of friends who wish them a happy and prosperous journey through life. They will make their homes in this vicinity where the grooms are engaged in farming. They were the recipients of very many beautiful and useful wedding gifts from their friends.
