The next reunion will be on Saturday 28 October 2023 in the grounds of the Ebenezer church with registration commencing at 9:30am.

The 2022 reunion was well attended after the Covid cancellations of 2020 and 2021. So put the above date in your calender for the 2023 reunion.

It is a great opportunity to catch up with updated research and information on our extensive family with numerous relatives at the picturesque environment of the Ebenezer church and grounds.

William STUBBS, his wife Sarah WINGATE and three children (William jr, Sarah and Elizabeth) arrived as free settlers on the Coromandel on 13 June 1802. They settled on a 100 acre grant at Upper Crescent Reach on the Hawkesbury River in NSW, Australia. Sadly, William Sr drowned in the Hawkesbury River, while attempting to swim to shore after his canoe had overturned, on 29 May 1805. He was buried on his farm at Portland Head (the area is now known as Maroota).

Sarah later remarried on 16 November 1806 at St John's Parramatta to James Painter. James (b.c. 1761 England, d.c.1840) was a shipwright, and arrived as a seaman on HMS Sirius with the First Fleet.
