Our researchWe are keen to trace other Stratfull / Stratful families with family information. We have a complete list of all Stratfull / Stratful births, deaths and marriages in England since the civil records began in 1837 and believe that we have placed about 95% of these facts in our records. These are available at GRO Indexes. We are deeply indebted to Mrs. Barbara (Bunny) Ann Williams (nee Stratfull) of Chicester, Sussex for her assistance in this research.
Location of family members - EnglandThere are a few clusters of family members within England. Most are located within London and the Home Counties. Some other clusters are in Staffordshire, Kent, Wolverhampton, and Essex. Using the 1999 electoral roll and telephone directories 87 Stratfull's and 23 Stratful's have been found across England. All have been identified as members of the same family. We would dearly love to make contact with other families in the UK. So, if you’re out there – send us an e-mail, drop us a letter via "snail mail" or pick up the phone and become added to this multi-national family.
Location of family members - AbroadThe web has recently enabled us to make contact with a branch of the Stratfull family in California, USA. These families are descended from a line that we believed had died out in Canada in 1920. A very warm welcome to the family is extended to the Stratfull Families of the United States of America. Particularly, to Pat Stratfull, her son Cort and his wife Margie of Rancho Cordova, near Sacramento, California. Our gratitude goes to Pat for helping us in adding their family details to our files. We also wish to acknowledge the help of Susan "Sue" Marie Maxwell (nee Girdler) daughter of the late Dorothy "Mildred" Jean Girdler (nee Stratfull) for her help with the American Stratfull's and the Girdler family. Sue and husband Ron, live in Rancho Cordova, California. Contact has recently been made with the Stratful family in New
Zealand. A warm welcome to them too. We look forward to sharing family
information with them. Our gratitude is extended to Raye Drake (nee Stratful)
who has begun to fill in the data on her family. So far no other Stratfull / Stratful families have been found outside the UK, USA or New Zealand. Some female lines have been traced to Australia.
What can we share ?Our family data is all held in a Family Tree Maker database and is far to large to place on this site in its entirety. However, we can give access to more comprehensive Stratfull / Stratful Descendant Generation Reports. For access you will need to make a request. We are happy to make copies on CD-ROM and post to you, however you will need to use Family Tree Maker Version 8 or later to read these files. Our collection of family photos are now on the site. We have copies of many of the birth, marriage and death certificates for the family since the records began in 1837. We can supply copies. Please see our lists of GRO Indexes.
