All that part of the Civil Parish of St. Erth which lies to the North of the Road leading from Joppa to Churchtown as far West as Chenhalls to Hayle River including Foundry, Foundry Hill, Trelissick, Mellenear, Joppa and Chenhalls. The part of the District comprised in the Hayle Urban Sanitary District includes Foundry, Foundry Hill, Trelissick Terrace, and Mellenear so far up as the road leading down through Water Lane (The remainder of the Hayle U S District is in the adjoining Parish of Phillack in the Redruth Union) The whole in the Western or St Ives Parliamentary Division of Cornwall.
