Joseph Renfroe's Pension Paper
This document shows when Joe Renfroe's pension was ended because of his death.
Joseph Renfroe was born in 1839 in Lawrence County, Ar. His father had died before October when his birth occurred. Mark was killed in an accident involving a horse. Joe's mother remarried James Hughes when Joe was about 5 or 6. They moved to Searcy County, Ar. before 1850, as the Hughes family and the Renfroe children are listed on the census.
Joseph Renfroe @ RootswebJoseph Renfroe served in the United States Army during the Civil War. In his old age he drew a pension for his service. He married Martha Ann Bradley, daughter of William Anderson and Sarah Hamm Bradley, after he returned to Searcy County after the War.
