Front Row: Aunt Rosetta White, Jewel's Mother and Paralee White
James White was born in 1834, son of Charles White and Anna Flippo. He married Telitha Blevins, daughter of James M. and Delila Meek Blevins, on Aug. 5, 1864. He died in 1912. Telitha in 1931. They are buried in the Farmer Cemetery, near Berryville
James and Talitha White helped raise two Grandchildren--Bessie White (Artimis' daughter). Bessie was said to be the daughter of William Amos Boatright. Also, they raised Jewel Erwin White, son of Rosetta White and Jerry Warren. Rosetta and Artimis may not have been married to the father's of their children, I just do not know. But feel it is important to state who the family says were the father's of the two grandchildren. Paralee White died young and is buried near her parent's in Farmer's Cemetery. I feel Rosetta is probably buried there too! This picture was provided to me by Larry Lynch. It was shared with Larry by Clemie Blair Atchley, who was Bessie White's half sister. Bessie is sitting on James White's lap. Contact Larry Lynch
Here is another photo of James and Talitha Blevins White. It was shared with me by Pauline Roseberry.
