Daniel Oliver Garrison was the son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Tannahill Garrison. He married Elizabeth Standridge, who was the daughter of Alexander "Mill" Standridge. Alex Standridge homesteaded land near Falling Water Creek and was neighbors with Howard Standridge (his brother) and Charley Garrison. Alex Standridge died a week after his mother Margaret Blevins Standridge. He went to her funeral on a cold and rainy day and took pnuemonia and died.
