Rev. Jeremiah M. Stewart was arrested and landed in Blount County, TN jail on his wedding day according to this article from The Maryville Times, Thursday, August 8, 1895, published three days after his arrest. He married Hester Ann "Hessie" Dunlap on Monday, August 5, 1895, in Knox CO, TN. Apparently, his intoxication was a contributory factor in threatening his landlord with a pistol.
