James Harvey and Sarah Elizabeth (Randolph) Manis' Family

Many thanks to Ellen Franklin for this and other photos! She identified those pictured above as follows:

Seated left to right is James Harvey Manis, Sarah Elizabeth (Randolph) Manis, and their oldest daughter Theodosia Earnest (Manis) McAmis. Standing on the back row, second from left is Joe Manis. First on the right is Melinda (Manis) Adams; then, second from right is my grandmother Mattie Lou (Manis) McCosh. Melinda "Linnie" Manis is holding a photo of the oldest son Isham Green Harris Manis. He was teaching school in Oklahoma Territory at that time, so he could not be there. I believe this was made before 1906 as that is when my grandmother came to Oklahoma and wouldn't have had access to railroad to visit home. So around 1901. As you can see, James H. has an eye injury from Civil War.

This site is dedicated to the memory of my mother Beulah Cline Nipper, a beautiful product of the Knobs.
