Coltharp School Group of 1917

~ IN MEMORY OF ~

The Students of Coltharp School
Monroe County, Tennessee, ca. 1917

This torn photo was in my great-grandmother's, Sarah Cline's, old trunk. After my great-grandparents' deaths, the black and white photograph was given to their grandchildren, Joe's children, who had copies of Little Joe prepared in oil portraits. My mother was given the original photograph for safe keeping, and she treasured it all the days of her life. Only my grandfather, Joseph Oliver Cline, Sr., has been identified. An arrow pointing to his head has been drawn in ink. He wears a white shirt and dark jacket and stands to the right of his teacher. I would love to know her name. The dark-haired boy whose hand rests on Joe's shoulder resembles a Martin cousin. If anyone can identify others in this photo, please email me. Also, if anyone has the remainder or a complete photograph, I beg to scan and upload it to this website for others to enjoy. Please let me know if you can help.
