This letter was found in my Grandma Moore's papers. With it was an obituary from a Spiritualist publication, pinned to a swatch of green cloth.

Resolution of Respect
In Memory of our Sister Worker.
Jennie B. Ray

Where-as an all wise power saw best to remove from our ranks, Jennie B. Ray, our beloved sister worker, a loving mother and a true loyal friend: And where-as the call came suddenly on the twelth day of May in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, be it therefore -

Resolved, that a copy of said resolutions expressing our sympathy to the members of her family in their hour of need, be sent fo the bereaved family and one placed on file in the church and auxiliary of the First Spiritualist Church, knowing that an all wise providence knew best, and be it further -

Resolved, that her arisen Spirit may ever progress to a higher unfoldment, being a beacon light to all who loved and respected her, for the good given to sorrowing and suffering humanity, thereby promoting the Truth of Spirit Communion.

Respectfully:
