A clipping from an unknown newspaper, found in my Grandma Moore's papers. The newspaper appears to be a Spiritualist-oriented publication. The obituary is called a "transition notice". Pinned to the clipping was a swatch of green cloth. With it was a "resolution of respect".

JENNIE PETERSON RAY

passed on to the Summerland after a brief illness, Wednesday, May 12, 1937. She accepted the truths and principles of Spiritualism years ago; was secretary of the First Spiritualist Church, an active member of the auxiliary and Financial Secretary of the First Illinois Spiritualist Camp Association. Funeral services were conducted by Carrie W. Dermody, pastor of the church, invocation by Rev. Anna Nielson, assisted by the Rev. MacDonald. May the unselfish life of service she led be an insipiration to the many who miss her.
