John Klumph came to America before 1762. There are various accounts as to his history, I'll include some of them here later.

John died on the family farm, and was buried there. After his death, Margaret followed her children to Portland, NY.

Children of John and Margaret Klumph:

1. Jacob W. Klumph, b. about 1763; d. 1823 in Portland. He m. Catharine BOWHALL in 1803 in Otsego Co. They had children Benson, Jerry, Augustine, Elizabeth, Alfred, Amelia, and Joseph.
2. Augustine C. Klumph, b. 15 Jun 1768; d. 16 Jan 1837 in Portland. He m. Sarah SIMPSON 31 Jan 1795 in Otsego Co. They had children Thomas and Harriet.
3. Jeremiah Klumph, b. 1769; d. 1855 in Wayne Co., MI. He m. Amanda NORTON 1797 in Otsego Co. They had children Margaret, Philip, Elon, Nelson, Louisa, Mary, Erastus, and Amanda.
4. Mary Klumph, b. about 1775. She never married.
5. Thomas J. Klumph, b. 1778; d. 1858 in Conneaut, OH. He m. Sally RICE Dec 1807 in Otsego Co.. They had children Alexis, Lester, Jacob, John Thomas, Fayette, Doctor Almon, Charity, Charlotte, and Cornelius.
6. Elizabeth Klumph, b. about 1780.
7. Catherine Klumph, b. 1787. She m. Perry HALL in 1806.
