Christian Kurfis is probably the Ch. Korfes who arrived in Philadelphia 30 Sep 1800 aboard the Brig Tryphena from Amsterdam. Chrisitian was a baker in Philadelphia. They moved to New York City before 1827. Apparently, Christian died there, and Wilhelmina followed her grandchildren to Rockford.
