The McCarthy Family Organization

Welcome! This page is the World Wide Web home of the McCarthy Family Organization, an organization of the descendants of Charles McCarthy who was born in Ireland in 1815 and latter emigrated to the United States.

The major goals of this web site is to aid communications between member of the McCarthy Family Organization and other descendants, to share histories and information on both the ancestral and living members of the family, and to help coordinate and share the results of genealogical work done on the McCarthy line.

Here are some items that are currently or soon will be available from this location:

Family History files - stories and other files containing family history information
Family Artifacts - photos of various objects with historical value
Photos - computerized photos of family members, both living and dead
Genealogy - both online accessible genealogy and a downloadable GEDCOM file
Contacts - a list of email addresses and other contact information for various family members

McCarthy Genealogy

This database contains the McCarthy genealogy as presently believed to be correct by the Charles McCarthy family organization. Any additions or corrections should be sent to Scott McGee.

You may download the entire McCarthy database. It is a zipped file containing a GEDCOM formatted file (MCCARTHY.GED) that should be usable with most genealogy programs. PC users should be able to use WinZip or PKZip to unzip the GEDCOM file.

You may also view this database online using Scott McGee's GenWeb server. The entry point to this database is the entry for Charles McCarthy, the earliest McCarthy ancestor of which we have record. You may select any of the following access methods to view and browse the data:
