Joseph Froehlich, a farmer from Tramping Lake, Sask., came to Scott district in the year 1935 and rented Mr. Hudson's farm which was between Scott and Phippen, Sask.

In 1936, January 28, he married Evelyn Schwan from Tramping Lake. In the year 1938, they were blessed with one son, Wilmar, born at Scott Hospital. It was a very hot and dry year.

We had tough years but we managed well. Most of our grocery shopping, etc was done at Phippen, Sask.

We enjoyed ourselves on the little farm. We farmed there until 1943 then sold out and moved to Unity, Sask., where Joe was employed at the Unity Flour Mill.
