Heritage of Hope 1905-1983 Saturday, January 20, 2001 ROSALIE (MCKENNA) KLETZEL My parents George and Agnes McKenna lived eleven miles south and west of Denzil and the village of their trading centre until the mid 1930's. In 1933-34 I took my Grade twelve at Denzil High School, boarding at Ed Andersons. After graduation I enrolled at Moose Jaw "Normal School" and later returned to teach in the school districts Mulberry, Glen Eden and Alba. In 1944, my mother moved fromt he farm and rented a house in Denzil so that my sister Aileen, brother Evan and cousin Doreen could attend school. We lived there until after the war when my brothers James Everett, Brian and Vincent returned home from serving in the Armed Forces. It was then that we moved our farm house into Denzil to the street just east of the school. In 1946, I married John Kletzel and we lived in Salvador. Later we spent twenty-three years at Primate where John was a grain buyer. In 1972, we were transferred to Hearts Hill and once again became members of the Denzil District. After a few years we moved to Major. WE have four sons Kevin John, Timothy Bredon, Robert Daniel and Patrick Sean and one granddaughter, Jolynn.
