Heritage of Hope 1905-1983 1/16/2001 PAUL BOSER Paul Boser and wife Katherina (nee Herner) emigrated from Kronental Crimea, Russia. They came to Canada in May of 1910, took up a homestead on NW. of 22-38-24-W3M and pre-emption on SW. of 22-38-24-W3M, in the district of New Ufford Saskatchewan, which is known today as the Reward District. Five of their six children also immigrated to Canada and settled in the Reward area, they were Anton, Monica (Mrs. Joe Schmidt), Peter, John, Joseph. Their daughter Elizabeth stayed in Russia. In 1911 their son Peter who had served his term in the Russian Military, came with his wife Annamarie and two children to live with his parents. The house was enlarged to accommodate two families. Here they spent their first years of retirement as their son took over the farming operation. Soon after a new small retirement home was built in the farmyard of their daughter Monica. Here they lived till 1920 when they moved to the farm of their son Anton on the NE. 33-37-25-W3M. in the St. Peter school district. In 1924 they moved into a small house in the farmyard of their son John on NW. of 10-38-24-W3M. half mile south of Holy Rosary Church where they spent their remaining years. Paul was born December 25, 1851, died August 22, 1933. Katherina was born December 13, 1859, died October 1, 1932. They are buried in the Holy Rosary Shrine Cemetery, Reward Saskatchewan.
