I went to France as a Medical Officer, and was in the evaluation from Dunkerque. I served in England in various army units, and as a Major in command of Field Ambulance Division was wounded on Junot Beach, France. After recovering in England I was sent to Sweden to overseas P.O.W. exchange. Following the war, I remained in England for post graduatle studies and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 1945 I married Margaret Lee of Winnipeg and returned to Canada to practise medicine in Port Arthur, Ontario until 1964, moving to Long Beach, Calf. with my wife and two children, Judy and Ronald. I practised medicine here until I retired in 1982. Judy is married and has two children and is living Cleveland. Ronald is studying medicine and is presently in New Zealand.
