Heritage of Hope 1905-1983 ANTHONY J. AND ANNA MARY HAUK I, Anthony J. Hauk, am the eldest child of Gabriel and Emilia Hauk. I was bonr in Odessa, Russia in 1907. In 1913, I immigrated to Canada with my parents. We lived in Regina for two years, after which my father purchased land in the Reward district. In 1927, my dad bought a farm, two miles west of Denzil. They resided there until their retirement. Emilia passed away in August of 1954 and Gabriel in October of 1955. On November 16, 1932. I married Anna Mary Frohlick in Denzil. We lived on a farm north and west of Denzil until 1940. At this time we moved to Denzil and took over the telephone office and maintenance duties. Later I bought grain for the Western Grain Co. and purchased a home north of the elevator, where we still reside. In 1956, when centralization of schools came into effect, I began driving the north school bus, which I drove until 1972. On July 9, 1982, Anna Mary and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had a family of seven children, Dolores, Rusty, Moose, Clara, Milton, Pat and Harry.
