10:08 AM 4/17/99 Wilkie - Harvest of Memories Page: 1026-1027 HAROLD AND REGINA DELAINEY Harold Delainey was the eldest child born to John A. and Annie (Leidl) Delainey. They lived on a farm in Reford district until 1944 when his father built a house in Wilkie at 407 3rd St. E. Harold worked as a laborer at several jobs in Alberta and Saskatchewan until 1949. Harold married Regina Schwab, the seventh child of Wendelin Schwab and Magdalena Hager of Revenue, on November 23, 1949, in the old Wilkie Catholic Church. They lived in Wilkie until the spring of 1950, when they moved to his father's farm in Reford and started farming. In 1952, his brother Jim started farming with him. In 1958, Harold purchased a service station in Revenue where he lived until 1966. He sold his business and moved to an acreage half a mile west of Wilkie on Highway 14. He wored as a mechanic at Wilkie Motors from 1966 to 1978. From 1978 to 1981, he worked for Koch Motors. In 1981, he retired due to illness. Harold moved into Wilkie in 1975 when he purchased his present home at 412-1st E. from Ray and Nancy Meier. Harold and Regina had ten children; one daughter and nine sons. Susan is married to Roger Presetsky. They live in Wilkie and have one son Shaunce born November of 1976. Donald is married to Carol Kammer. They live in Wilkie and have two sons, Christopher, and Mark. Donald is a qualified mechanic and works at the Wilkie Co-op Service Station. Gerald is married to Joan Gerlinsky. They have three children; Daniel, Adrian and Janice. Gerald is a qualified TV and Radio Technician. He owns his own business, Twin City Television and Radio in North Battleford. Bruce is married to Helen Gerlinsky. They live on an areage out of Biggar. They have two children, Amanda and Russel. Bruce works at Prairie Malt in Biggar and also runs "Delainey Service" on his acreage. Gordon is married to Rose Tarson. They live in Saskatoon with their three sons, Joseph, Stephen, and Brent. Gordon is a qualified carpenter. Michael is married to Linda Fell. They live in Regina. Michael is a mechanic and works at Mid-West Motors. Harold Jr. is taking a radio and TV technician course in Moose Jaw. Charles and John are students at McLurg. They are 1987 graduates. Kent is a grade 8 student at St. George School. Harod is feeling much better now and finds travelling around the country an avid pastime. Both Harold and Regina ride their bicycles every day. Regina enjoys playing bingo. They both take great pride in their grandchildren.
