      Frank and Margaret Duchscherer

      Grassland to Grainland

In 1923, the Duchscherer's came from Revenue District in the Keller farm, NE 32-38-21, in the Crooked Valley district. Mrs. Duchscherer was the former Margaret Keller, daughter of Joe and Anna Keller. Margaret's mother, Anna, a widow, lived with the Duchscherer's until she passed away on December 7, 1927. They farmed here until 1940, when on April 4 they held an auction sale, purchased a house and moved to Scott, Sask. Shortly after, Frank purchased the dray business from Garfield Sproule and with the help of his nephew, Joe Keller, operated the business for a few years.

In 1945, Frank sold the draying busness to Joe Deibert and retired in Scott. Later, the Duchscherer's moved to a senior citzens home in North Battleford where they have both passed away.
