Am looking for the McCARTHY family of Edward McCARTHY, who became a prominent citizen and important business man in Regina, Canada, in the late 1800's and known to have returned to visit relatives in Ireland at least four times. He was the son of ca. 1844 emigrant from Limerick Co., Ireland, Denis McCARTHY, of rural Guelph, Ontario.

There's a listing in the 1911 Henderson's City of Regina Alphabetical Directory for someone named BARNEATHER - he was a butcher.

I am trying to find any information on a Robert J. KING, born circa 1873, in Ontario. The last mention we can find of him is contained in his brother Frank's obituary (July 1939), in which he is listed as "Robert, Regina Sask" . I would appreciate any suggestions on how to trace Robert, as this is my first foray into Saskatchewan.

Cathy.
