Nellie Vair
On a ranch in Cardston, we settled
We were blessed, never feeling
nettled
Children arriving filled hearts with glee
We enjoyed the good life- free just to be!
Gardens and cattle were our way of life
Hard work involved but free of most strife.
Morals were clear, steeped in generations
Knowledge learned from our Vair relations.
We all enjoyed the old folks camaraderie
Sunday meals and stories retold were key.
Nostalgia flourished along with family roots
Knowing no discord, we were free of disputes.
Florence we helped during her young
years
We valued her; loving care was free of tears
Every Vair must grow up strong and good
High standards maintained; as
they should.
