Strong and humble, John made a significant mark.
His wife Dorothy was a hair
dresser with style
She kept John happy as they walked the great
mile.
She liked their modest lifestyle and caring for
others.
They enjoyed camaraderie and freedom from
smother.
Years of walking and physical exertion held
appeal
Could it be rooted in years of farm labor so
real?
A daily workout made John strong and vibrant.
At ninety-six he is
independently mobile et adamant.
