passed away. Elizabeth and son William were alone.

Slaughter was her choice- a good man was he
He loved
and was loved by William which was key.
William
grew strong and served his state as a Law-Maker.
-Then
Lieutenant-Colonel of Slaughter’s Regiment later.
William
was also a member of the Senate 1841-1845.
His
step-father knew William would work hard to derive.

Rhodes served in the Military sent to the War of 1812
He worked,
served and achieved- records on history shelves.
-A fine
man by anyone’s measure. A family of military skill

followed big footprints, made decisions of his own free will.
