President's Widow
Washington (AP)- The condition of Mrs. Woodrow Wilson
remains basically unchanged, her physician said yesterday. The
widow of the World War 1 president is gravely ill of a
respiratory ailment and complications.
Her physicians said Tueday night that Mrs. Wilson, 89, has been
ill for three weeks but showed slight improvement Tueday. She
is confined to her Washington home, where she and Wilson
moved after he left the White House in 1921.
The illness will prevent Mrs. Wilson from a scheduled
appointment today to unveil a plague on the new Woodrow
Wilson Bridge across the Potomac River between Maryland and
Alexandra, Va. a few miles below Washington.
