Poem for
Robert Howard

Robert Howard-

As a young lad Robert was an inquisitive boy who was always busy

The outdoors he loved to explore at length until Maw got in a tizzy

With older siblings Robert learned quickly to feel bold and unafraid

With his unique little person- a cherished little brother Robert made.

The world looked bright and rosy, the sunlight danced all around

Robert looked for excitement and challenge, which he always found

The hills, the dales, the countryside filled with wonderment and awe

In every nook and cranny; no stone left unturned- everything he saw.

God loved this happy little soul and chose him for his own one day

He and friends jumped from the ferry into the river come what may.

The North Saskatchewan River twisted and churned as it laid claim

This dear child forever in peace will live on to cherish God’s Name.
