Poem for
Raymond Howard

Raymond Howard-

In Frenchman Butte Ray was born to be free

Character, charm and good looks we could see.

He listened to his mom who loved him so dear

With Maw by his side he had nothing to fear.

His siblings were older than he and moved away

He grew up more adult-like than others some say.

His heart was gentle and kind like ancestors before

Respectful persona and demure- sure to open doors.

We saw Ray’s success and quietly cheered him on-

Responsibility he knew much of- his caring heart shone

A crane operator on high and the loving father of five

Kept Ray productive and challenged- glad to be alive.

Retirement years as busy as ever- from cranes to songs

To his wife and children his tender heart still belongs.

One thing on which we can all agree, honesty is gold-

Look at the lifetime of successful memories Ray holds.
