Poem for
Marjorie Gilles nee Howard

Marjorie Gilles nee Howard

Marjorie was a always a special girl- her heart was steeped in Howard grace

She always made time to play and care for me- her own plans she’d erase

Marjorie grew up with good people around her- their lessons she applied

She looked nice and stylish as her new buffalo coat she wore with pride.

Margie I called my dear cousin and dearest friend; as happy times we shared

We looked around to find our other friends and see what excitement was there.

Life moved on and Marjorie became a young woman beautiful in every way

She was the focus of pride in Frenchman Butte the town’s people now say

She married and raised three boys who grew up and followed in her style

They knew the value of good character, hard work and how to walk the mile

Marjorie always knew how to be successful as a wealthy farmer she became

Now she boasts of a new first class Yorkie kennel- a credit to her name

Some people are born to win and Marjorie lived her life according to this plan

She’d think and wisely make decisions; she was certain to walk before she ran

Admiration and cheers belong to Marjory as she follows her unique path in life

May adversity and woe stay at bay; never to bring Marjorie tears or strife.
